
Claes Bang as Will Walsh
Danish actor Claes Bang burst into the international film scene after dominating Ruben Östlund’s 2017 Cannes Palme D’Or winning and Oscar nominated The Square. The film garnered him the European Film Award for Best Actor.
Most recently, Claes appeared in the final season of Showtime's critically acclaimed drama The Affair. He appears as the titular character in the BBC/Netflix Dracula series from Mark Gatiss and Stephen Moffat, creators of BBC's Sherlock. He stars in Giuseppe Capotondi's upcoming thriller 'The Burnt Orange Heressy' opposite Donald Sutherland and Elizabeth Debicki as well as Dan Friedkin's 'The Last Vermeer' opposite Guy Pearce and Vicky Krieps. He is set to star Robert Eggers' Viking-drama 'The Northman' with Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård and Willem Dafoe.
A distinguished stage and screen actor, Claes graduated from the Danish National Theatre School in 1986. Other international work includes the Danish hit TV series The Bridge and Borgen. With perfect unaccented English, Claes is in high demand in the US and regularly works in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and France.
